The effects of cocaine in the body depend on the intake amount and the mode of intake. The peak effect of the drug is about 30 minutes when snorted. In case of oral intake the peak effect is around 1 hour. When smoked the effects are its peak for about 4 minutes. Though the peak effects vary, up to 1 hour the effects stay in one’s body. In case of prolonged usage of this drug the effects stayer for even longer duration.

How long can cocaine stay in human body?

Almost the cocaine can stay in the human system for 2 – 4days for a user’s who is sporadic. In case of a chronic consumer it stays for almost 10 -12 days. When taken along with alcohol the drug stay for 25 days. Caffeine also delays the elimination of the drug from the body.

In case of drug testing, test needs to be conducted within 12- 72 hours. The detection depends on the amount of the drug consumed. Saliva test shows immediate results. Blood and urine test can be conducted for a period of 3-4 days. Hair test are also performed.
