AIADMK chief J. Jayalalitha has announced her party's list of candidates. The AIADMK is going to contest in 227 of the total 234 Assembly seats of Tamil Nadu. It will allot 7 seats to its alliance partners. Jayalalitha will contest from R.K. Nagar constituency.
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) will contest all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu in the coming Assembly election. It has released its first list of candidates for 45 seats.
Vijayakanth's DMDK is fighting Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in alliance with the People's Welfare Front (PWF) this year. Vijaykanth has been selected as the DMDK-PWF alliance's chief-ministerial candidate. DMDK has released its list of candidates for 40 constituencies. The party has given tickets to several of its sitting MLAs. Alagapuram R. Mohanraj is going to contest again from Salem West. Sitting MLA Parthasarathy will contest from Virugambakkam once again. Both won their respective constituencies in 2011 when their party was in alliance with AIADMK. K. Geetha will fight from Gumiddipoondi. Party treasurer A.R. Elangovan will fight from Omalur constituency. The party is contesting from 104 constituencies in all and the rest are shared by other members of PWF, that is, the CPI, CPI(M), MDMK, TMC and VCK.
